Hello and welcome back to my blog! Today I will sharing one of my favorite inspirational quotes with you guys! It is not about Christmas, or the holidays. It is more having to do with sports.
This blog means so much to me because of basketball. Our program has not had very much success over the years. But day after day, me and my teammates need to remind ourselves that its not all about the wins. It is about how we overcome the losses to grow as a team. Like I said it applies to me each and every day I play basketball. Even though we may not win very much, we can still be champions. We can achieve that by overcoming adversity and growing in other ways. My parents have always said that sports are more than just winning. You can win in sports without having more points than the other team at the end of a contest. You can meet new people and have experiences you would never be offered if you did not play sports. My parents use this quote daily when they tell me to not only worry about winning, but to worry about how I grow as a person and teammate each and every day. I would rephrase this quote as "Success is not only based on winning, its also based on perseverance and how one can overcome failure." Overall, this quote is present in my life almost every day and I always keep it in the back of my head.
